Support the Staatskapelle Berlin’s Upcoming Tour!
Dear Friend of the Berlin Staatsoper,
Orchestras have many defining characteristics. Some are known for their sound, their illustrious conductors, their long tradition of reinterpreting the classic central European music oeuvre, and some by the unique acoustics of their homes.
The Staatskapelle-Berlin, founded in 1570, has been fine-tuned over the past thirty years under Maestro Daniel Barenboim’s leadership, and sounds better than ever in the renovated Linden Opera House with its heightened dome to maximize the acoustics.
This world-class orchestra will be returning to Carnegie Hall in November as well as performing in Toronto, Chicago, Philadelphia, and Miami. Ticket information will soon be available. Of course, such a tour is expensive and ticket prices never cover the cost. Your dedication to the Staatsoper-Berlin and its Staatskapelle Orchestra is never taken for granted. I am sure you share with me the feeling that our membership dues and donations are more than rewarded by their wonderful performances.
