Wagner’s Ring Cycle

Dear American Friends,

The Staatsoper-Berlin is launching a new Wagner Ring Cycle premiering in October with an additional cycle later in October, one in November, and one during the April, 2023 Berlin Festival Days.

The Ring tetralogy is the longest and most expensive of all operas to stage.

The Staatsoper-Berlin requested the American Friends of the Berlin-Staatsoper to contribute €100,000 towards the production and €30,000 toward sub-titling the text.  

Through the generosity of its members, AFBS happily sent the requested funds to the Berlin-Staatsoper last month.
